Our Founder

Founder and Executive Director, Andrea Terrero Gabbadon, is a certified principal with years of increasing student results in the challenging urban schools.

​

After teaching in public schools for several years, Andrea served as founding teacher at a turnaround school in North Philadelphia. Shortly thereafter, Andrea entered into an instructional leadership role while enrolled in at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education.

As a school leader, Andrea and her team increased Keystone proficiency by 10% from 2013 to 2015 and later increased average ACT reading score by 2.13 points in 3 months.

As veteran educational leader, Andrea combines strong humanities content knowledge, standards-driven approach, and instructional coaching practices to achieve breakthrough results. In addition, Andrea is deeply committed to culturally responsive pedagogy, which informs her approach to teacher and leadership training.

As Executive Director and Lead Consultant of ILM, Andrea is proud to lead and serve alongside a tremendous team of equity-focused and highly-skilled educators. 

Andrea currently trains aspiring practitioners, teachers, and leaders in PA and New Jersey as consultant and teacher educator.
